Karen finished her bachelors degree in Chemistry from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2024, and obtained her masters degree in Applied Chemistry, specializing in Molecular and Materials Chemistry, from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2025.
She has participated in research projects focused on the development of catalytic systems based on fist-row transition metals for organic transformations, within the FRONCAT research group at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2024-2025) .
She is currently working as a predoctoral researcher at the Polymer Technology Laboratory (LATEP) at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, where their research focuses on the study of virgin and recycled polyethylene (PE) plastics for pipe applications.
