Chemical and Environmental Engineering Group

Graduated in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2022, and obtained a master’s degree in industrial and environmental biotechnology from the same institution in 2023.
He is currently working as a research fellow in the BIVALIA-CM project, which aims to develop an integrated system for the valorization of agri-food waste within the framework of a biorefinery, proposed as a higher value-added alternative. His work focuses on the treatment and valorization of these wastes through biological processes based on purple phototrophic bacteria (PPB), oriented towards the production of value-added compounds such as microbial protein.
His research integrates knowledge of microbiology, biotechnology, and mathematical modeling, with a particular emphasis on the design and operation of bioreactors. The main goal of his activity is to foster sustainable biotechnological processes that enable the efficient recovery of resources and their incorporation into a circular economy.
