Holds a Licenciate Degree in Chemical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and Bachellor (BSc) and Master (MSc) Degrees in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oulu (OU), for which she received the “Young Researcher 2014” award from the Finnish Chemical Society. She obtained a PhD in Chemical and Materials Sciences from the University of Oulu and University College London (UCL). Her doctoral research focused on the development of optoelectronic materials for photovoltaic applications, through the design of organometallic molecular precursors using Schlenk techniques and thin film coatings using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Previously Assistant Professor at ETSIST-UPM (Electronic Physics), she currently holds the same position in the Department of Chemical, Energy and Mechanical Technology of the URJC (Physical Chemistry) and belongs to the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Research Group. She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UCL developing advanced materials with optoelectronic applications (metal oxides, metals, hybrid perovskites, etc.) and low-emissivity coatings, as well as at the Solar Energy Institute of the Polytechnic University of Madrid developing virtual porous silicon substrates and ultra-thin germanium emitters for flexible III-V cells. Such work has resulted from collaborative work by different funding entities and companies in Finland (Fortum Oyj.), UK (EPSRC, NSG Pilkington ®) and Spain (UMICORE®). Her scientific results have been published in 16 publications in international journals indexed in the JRC, and 12 scientific conferences with 7 indexed publications. He has co-directed 4 Master's theses and two extracurricular internship projects, and collaborates with scientific dissemination initiatives.
