Eva Sanz Santos is a Chemical Engineer, graduated from the Autonomous University of Madrid of Madrid in 2018. In 2019, she completed her Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, a program jointly offered by the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Autonomous University of Madrid. During this period, she worked as a research assistant at the Autonomous University of Madrid, supported by the “Promotion of Research in Master's Studies” grant, conducting studies on the removal of emerging water pollutants through advanced oxidation processes such as CWPO and heterogeneous photocatalysis, using clay-based catalysts. In 2023, she earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering. Her research focuses on adsorption processes for the removal of emerging pollutants and nanoplastics from water, utilizing activated carbons derived from biomass residues. Additionally, she has extensive experience in the synthesis and characterization of these materials.
