Chemical and Environmental Engineering Group

Pablo Gómez, a graduate in Food Science and Technology from Rey Juan Carlos University (2020) and specialized in Food Safety and Biotechnology at the University of Burgos (2021), embarked on his journey in the research field at the CHEMPROFOOD group within the Institute of Food Science and Technology and Nutrition (ICTAN) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). There, he published two scientific articles related to contaminants generated during food processing.
Following his tenure at CSIC, he joined the (Micro)Separation Techniques group of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering at the University of Alcalá, where he worked on the valorization of byproducts and wastes from the agri-food industry through new sustainable analytical strategies for the preparation and analysis of samples of food, pharmaceutical, and environmental interest.
In December 2023, he began his tenure as a Pre-doctoral Researcher in Training at the High-Performance Research Group in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Rey Juan Carlos University (GIQA), studying the photocatalysis of various resistant compounds in wastewater.
