Miguel Macías has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) since 2022 and has completed the Interuniversity Master in Chemical Engineering of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in 2023. His Final Thesis has been related to the isomerization of glucose to fructose with commercial resins and his Master Thesis with the transformation of furfural to 1,5-pentanediol by Catalytic Hydrogen Transfer (HFT).
He has done his undergraduate internship at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) at the Instituto de Química Orgánica General in the Catalysis and Systems Chemistry Research Group and completed in 2022 and INTRO grant from the Sociedad Española de Catálisis (SECAT) during the summer months of 2022.
At the end of 2022, he joined the Department of Chemical, Energetic and Mechanical Technology of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos as a researcher of the INVESTIGO Program of the Comunidad de Madrid. He is currently a student at the International Doctoral School (EID) of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, being a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Technology.
