Sandra Chacón Aparicio finished the bachelor degree in Food Science and Technology in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), (2014 to 2018) and Master Degree in Enabling Technologies for the Food Industry and Bioprocesses at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), (2018 to 2019) .
She has done her degree intership at the Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados de Alimentación (IMDEA Alimentación) in the field of diet-cancer. As well as, she has been worked in research tasks for five months for her work on the master's degree at the CSIC in Barcelona on Microtechnology (CNM-CSIC), related to impedimetric biosensors for the detection of cyanobacteria in aquaponic systems.
Nowadays, she is doing a PhD within the European Project Deep Purple, for the production of biopolymers (PHA) through phototrophic purple bacteria (PPB) and the treatment of urban waste.
