Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Master in Advanced Chemistry from the University of Burgos. She received a Collaboration grant from the MECD to research on the fabrication and functionalization of free-standing carbon nanotubes by electrochemical methods. Subsequently, she served as a Research Assistant in the Materials Science Department of the University of Sevilla, where she was in charge of measuring the rheological properties of hematite and triple oxide suspensions and of the fabrication of porous nickel oxide parts using the freeze casting technique. In addition, she was employed as Quality Technician in companies of the chemical industry. Currently, she holds the position of Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
