Grupo de Ingeniería Química y Ambiental

Ha obtenido el título de licenciado en CC. Químicas por la Univ. Oviedo en 1989 (especialidad Química Física) y el de Dr. en CC. Químicas por la Univ. Complutense de Madrid en 1994 (programa de Doctorado en Química Física).
Ha sido Becario FPI (1990-1993), Profesor Ayudante y Profesor Asociado (1993-1998) en la UCM, y Profesor Asociado (1998-2001) en la URJC. Desde 2001 es Profesor Titular de Universidad en el área de Química Física de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
La docencia desempeñada se ha centrado en asignaturas y contenidos de Química, Química Física y Termodinámica en Licenciaturas (Químicas, UCM; Ciencias Ambientales, URJC), Ingenierías (Ingeniería Química e Ingeniería Técnica Industrial, URJC), Masters y Programas de Doctorado.
Ha realizado una estancia post-doctoral de 13 meses en la Universidad Técnica de Kaiserslautern (KTU, Alemania, 1997), y varias predoctorales en la Universidad Técnica de Dinamarca (DTU, Dinamarca, 1991) y Nova de Lisboa (UNL, Portugal, 1992 y 1993).
Sus líneas de investigación se han centrado en el estudio experimental y teórico del equilibrio de fases, en la termodinámica y caracterización de fracciones y crudos petrolíferos, en el estudio de la precipitación de sólidos inorgánicos y en la caracterización de polímeros.
